Equipment Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the refurbishment of SPTS, Oxford, Plasmatherm, YES, Tepla and other Etch equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Refurbishes equipment according to customer specifications documentation, blueprints, and/or written procedures.
- Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment in a timely manner.
- Actively works to obtain all materials/information needed to fulfill job responsibilities. (e.g. hand tools, parts, hardware, sales order, research documentation).
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles semiconductor equipment with moderate to no supervision.
- Maintains accurate records and logs of work performed, modifications, calibration, and adjustments and parts inventory.
- Maintains the highest quality of work on all tasks assigned.
- Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment in a timely manner.
- Submits PO requests as needed to fulfill orders.
- Maintains regular communication with other ClassOne employees, vendors, and customers.
- Provides weekly updates on the status of orders and current projects.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
- Maintains clean and organized workspace.
- Understands business implications of decisions, and makes decisions accordingly.
- Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
- Provides documentation for live orders as needed (e.g. failure analysis report, evaluation report, calibration report).
- Provides technical support to customers and sales staff as needed (e.g. lead time, cost, description of how a tool/parts functions).
- Support equipment servicing activities at the facility as needed.
- Cleans and polishes tools, equipment, and parts.
- Position is based in Atlanta, GA and requires ability to travel (up to 25%).
- May perform equipment installations and de-installations at customer facilities.
- May perform Field Service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION
- Must have a BS in a technical field or at least 5 years experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Required experience in the following disciplines:
- Vacuum systems operation
- RF Tuning
- Pneumatics
- Pump operation
- Motor theory and operation
- Measuring/testing equipment with input voltage up to 500VAC
- Industrial Automation
- PLC theory/programming
- HMI
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics
- Meticulous and quality focused.
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must be able to complete projects on-time and within budget.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Gmail
- Valid Passport preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms, including the need to reach with arms. The employee is routinely required to sit; stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel and/or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
