Refurbishment of Semitool Equipment

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for basic refurbishment of semiconductor equipment, primarily Lift/Rotate assemblies of Semitool equipment.  Below are the details for this position:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs initial testing and diagnostic checks on basic-level complexity equipment
  • Cleans and polishes tools, equipment and parts
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles semiconductor equipment with moderate supervision
  • Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment in a timely manner and develops alternative solutions
  • Maintains accurate records and logs of work performed, modifications, calibration, adjustments and parts inventory
  • Perform equipment set-up changes, modifications, and upgrades
  • Maintains and monitors maintenance parts inventory
  • Supports equipment servicing activities in facility as needed
  • Learns and perform repairs according to schematics and/or written procedures and exhibits sound and accurate judgment
  • Refurbishes equipment according to customer specifications documentation, blueprints and/or written procedures
  • Completes projects on time and within budget
  • Understands business implications of decisions, and makes decisions accordingly
  • Maintains clean and organized workspace
  • Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Applies feedback to improve performance
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Accountable for maintaining the highest possible customer satisfaction on orders for equipment and services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 6 months related experience within the area of technology, ideally in the semiconductor industry.  Four year degree in Technical field preferred.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English
  • Computer literacy and experience in MS Word and Excel required
  • Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
  • Permanent legal resident status is required; US Citizenship is preferred      

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel and bend; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
